Grudge Match

This past weekend Neil W, put on the annual Smith Grudge Match at Snow Valley. Officially, we were there with Sessions. Unofficially, we were there for the spring snow and fun sodas. Jennings and the park crew did a total rebuild. If you haven't been to Snow Valley in a few years, I'd suggest you check it out, things have changed. The Grudge Match is a head to head format, with all the Simple kids, Trevor Jennings, Andrew Skelhorn, Jamie Corneal, Kevin Scriver, Dani Brown, Smashley, Joey G, Travis Mooney, LS on the mic, guest judges Will J, Mike P, and Tim, insert your name here, out to enjoy the sunshine. Highlight might have been the post contest best trick sessions on the mini qp/box and the logjam. D Brown was learning handplants all day and she won girls. As for guys, someone won someone lost, it was either Craig or Greg,

California Long Weekend

Oddly enough I ran into Corneal and Smashley the other night at the new Switch (which opens Tuesday May 12th) for a couple of fun sodas. Coincidently, the new Calfornia episode from the 6 months 2 live crew went up today. Jennings does good indy's!

March in April

Kontakt films just released the March edition of their 6months2live "webisodic journey". The highlight has to be the footy from the Tropical North Downlow comp at MSLM. Easily one of the best contests of the year, for riders and spectators. It's almost like contests of old and I'll leave it at that. With that said Union/Capita's Andrew Skelhorn made the trek back from Whistler to film and partake. Union's Jamie Corneal has been having the winter of his life!!! Ask him where he's been! And Andrew Rusk has a few shots as well.

A toranado of blog awesomeness

Today was a fun day for driving, super sunny, lots of snow and good conversation/electronic banter (ed - we here at MHG do not condone the use of electronic devices while operating a motor vehicle) to fill the void. First, I talked with Andrew Skelhorn who's in town and just recently returned from a Quebec filming mission with the 6months2live crew consisting of Kyle Taylor, Trevor Jennings, Andrew Kirn and fellow Union binding brethren Jamie Corneal. Oh plus the legendary steak eater, lover of pork products and for this trip Richard Roth, and Kontakt productions Adam D. All good guys to travel with. For your viewing enjoyment: Last Week

Due to severly impaired typing skills this ones going to be somewhat short. To recap TJ Schneider was in town last week with Capita photographer Joel Fraser and No Limit's Mikey Scott. Aside from creating a deadly combination of funk in my basement the crew was in town filming local riders for Tj's Snowboard Realms. Matt Bujok's got a great frontboard at that church on the hill in that town we won't mention. I've wanted to see somewhat hit this since like 1982..or somthing. Taylor Hill has some styled ollies to flat, Gauley's got the gap,Dani Browns got a bunch of shots, plus Justin Jopling, Jamie Corneal and more.
