Top Of the World Step Down at Mont Cascade

Last year, this stop was one of the best on the demo/contest circuit. People were so hyped to try out new gear that rain, snow, hail, sun repeat all day long didn't stop em. Lift lines all day long. This year was the same, but with a bigger crew made up of Brad Gauley, Andrew Skelhorn, Matt Bujok, Bradley Hesson, Kirby Kostuk and photo guy Connor Dudgeon. I did some follow cam laps on Saturday with the camera off, so you'll have to settle for some contest footy. Thanks to Eric at Top and Mike at Cascade for makin this fun. This is what we showed up to. One of the best pre-season set-ups yet, but in the pouring rain.

4 days till Trick N Treat

Just finishing up two days in Ottawa doing pks at Slaysh and Top of the World. This is where the bus will be leaving from for Trick N Treat on Saturday.

Trick n Treat

It's pre-season jib contest time. Clocktower just happened this past weekend in Ottawa and as usual was a great time. This weekend there's Jibfest at Geogian College on Saturday and Trick N Treat at Mont Cascade. If you've never been to Cascade this is one to check out. These guys along with the Top of the World crew always put on great comps with legit set-ups. Plus there's a party about three feet from the set-up.

The weather went something like this: Rain, Snow, threat of sunshine, rain, snow, rain, snow, threat of sunshine. This scenario played out until dark, when the weather changed to snow or no snow. The Mont Cascade park crew did a great job with keeping the landing stompable and the Top crew did a great job organizing another fun event.

Results played out as follows: Winners: 1. Andrew Skelhorn 2. Tyrell McEllwiney 3. Joel Dumond 4. Jordan Gibson Fraser 5. David Gauvreau Best trick: Tyrell McEllwiney
Brad Hesson also had some huge back 1's but couldn't get the stomp down.

Just finishing up a weekend in Ottawa for the Cascade Step Down contest with Top Crew. Thanks to Mike and the park crew for the hard work, Adam, Eric and Sam for making things happen, the Vans crew for gts all day, Skelhorn, Hesson and Beav for non-stop screw turnin and la Curd for lurkin.
