The Good, The Washed and The old.

The first Beaver Valley Banked Slalom brought together the entire Ontario snowboard community to compete for bragging rights this past Saturday. It might seem strange but this is the first time in memory an event has brought has-beens, never were's, Olympic hopefuls, industry dudes and soon to be has beens together to compete against one another. 250 people competed making it one of the biggest events in Canada, and no one had a bad time. From the shit-talking before hand to the laps with old friends to the sunny patio sessions this event is going to be hard to top. Thanks to Beaver Valley, Steve Jarret, Matt Baird, Christy Deere, Caleb Bosse and everyone involved. Glad its going to be an annual event because now that the contest cherries been popped, were runnin 1000 squats a day minimum at the office to get ready for next year. Sunday was the Quiksilver Downlow at Louis, which showcases Craig Burley's park building madness and gives the up and comers a chance to get buck on features that aren't normally found around here. Thanks to MSLM for always hosting this event, Tropical North for pioneering it, AO, Quik and Kahuna for supporting. Thanks to Alex at Ancedote for the recap
