Crawlspace Treasure

After watching Anthem via the Tackled Box, I got all nostalgic and starting going through a few boxes of old vhs tapes and mags that have managed to follow me around for the last twenty odd years.  Needless to say I have enough material for 10 years worth of throwback Thursday grams.

I found these bibles from the 90s. Always worth a flip through. From editorial to photos to the format,  BLUNT set the benchmark for snowboard mags, in my eyes anyhow.  For those that don't know Blunt was launched around the time that the mainstream public was embracing everything snowboarding. As a result, companies outside of the snow industry were throwing wads of cash to support snowboarding in hopes of tapping into some of its perceived cool factor.  Amongst talks of Olympic inclusion in 1998, launching of the X-games, FIS takeovers and snowboarding being used to sell everything to Joe Public from credit cards to chocolate bars, Blunt was the alternative voice. And it was fucking awesome.
